The Scout

“Scout” refers to one of the two characters in Eremidia: An Empty Tome, taking a role as the main protagonist in the story. Canonically, both came from the same Hunter's Guild and were taken jobs in the event of Imperial Simulacrum, although in different sides; one took role as one of King's envoy in the first Airship while another took role in the secondary team, rode in the second Airship.

Note: In the game, the unchosen Scout will be the Scout in the first expedition team, while the chosen one (the MC) places himself/herself in the second team.

Backgrounds

Both Scouts came from the same Hunter's Guild, but they have their own backstories respectively, tied with the fateful encounter 14 years before Imperial Simulacrum.

Regarded as reputable trailblazers, the pair is known as one of the most effective guildmembers among their ranks. As the registered Guildmembers started to decline in AE990, both were still present and registered as Guildmember.1)

When Herald of World's End appeared in AE994, both were requested directly by the Kingdom, but only one heeded the call, leaving another behind.2) The one being left then heeded another call from the Kingdom after a month of silence from the embarked team, starting the misadventure in the Rift.

  • Female Scout: Orphaned when he was a little girl, she then adopted by the Male Scout and taught essential skills to be a pathfinder like him. She is a rather short girl, with auburn hair and emerald eyes, sporting pigtails and glasses, wearing standard issue Guild's uniform and wielding a crossbow and a whip as tools of her trade.
