+The successor of the Xan tribe’s sacred tradition, Ai Shen Hua was selected among all the potential candidates from her kinfolk—but not by her own choice. Forced into stormcalling by the elders of the tribe, it was a roll of the dice, despite her age.
+Day after day, her training increased in harshness, a terrible feat for a delicate girl like her and before too long, she had enough. She confided in her trusted friend—the foreigner kid who assimilated into the tribe—to escape the commune and see the world beyond the woods and mining shafts. He agreed, and it didn’t take long for them to hatch an escape from the clutches of the tribe and its archaic traditions.
