Makers are primordial kin mostly known for their craftsmanship across many realms, with their ancestral roots stemmed from the “Day of Creation”. They live and dwell in realms around Numidium region; the ruins and artifacts found around Numidium bear many similarities with Makers' designs, as well as some of their creations that are being left for eons such as Constructs and the Deepbellow Forge–one of the most well-known Makers-styled landmarks in the Rift.
In the time unknown (presumably far before Mad Queen Incident), most of the Makers vanished from their home realms, leaving much of their heritage behind. The surviving Makers are struggling with all their kinsmen had left to them, but most of their kin's knowledge is already lost–the Great Library holds only a few of their records, at least according to Archivists who tend the Shelf of Western Wing 0154-AH, where most of Makers' books and records are stored and archived.
Riftwalkers may identify a Maker by their enormous stature and their fondness of eccentric, heavily ornated outfits.
Makers had several names in the past, but most people who encountered them often referred to them as “makers” in their language.

Makers' history begins when the realms are already conceived and are at an early phase; where the realms were still unstable and inhabitable, the first Makers emerged from a place they often referred to as “Sacred Foundry” and started making numerous contraptions and crafts to stabilize the newly formed realms. Collectively, those realms later become “Ancestral Realm” or “Astral Realm”–the realm where creatures that nowadays are considered as myth hailed from.
Eons later, when new realms appeared at a steady pace and The Way started to manifest, Makers didn't hesitate in working on the new stuff in their presence. In some Alexylvan records, especially those written by a historian named Marzuk Al Ghowarimi, Makers even contributed in several foreign civilizations across the realms in nowadays Numidium region, proven by the records of manifests and commission letters written on clay, sheets of metal, leathers and on a rare occasion, human skin.
The reasons why Makers vanished are still unknown; there are no concrete and proven records regarding their disappearance from their home realms. Some speculations raised upon this particular question, and few of them were found in the form of tomes and letters:
